for the past 3 months, I've been working with The West Girls on their latest album... and it was terrific to hear their wonderful harmonies and music coming through the monitors here at Merlot Sound... the master has gone to the factory for glass pressing.. everyone needs to get a copy once it is released.. if you like rich vocal harmonies and acoustic music, then you'll love The West Girls.. Jack Daniels, Scott Miller and I provided the instrument backing and I recorded, mixed and mastered it .. I'll keep you posted on the release dates..have a great Labor Day everyone!.. cheers.....

look for The Crickets rerelease of "The Crickets and Their Buddies", a well deserved tribute to the music of The Crickets, with and without Buddy Holly, including Eric Clapton, John Prine, Waylon Jennings, Phil Everly, Vince Neil, Albert Lee, Nancy Griffith, Rodney Crowell, Bobby Vee, Johnny Rivers and others... produced and engineered by Grammy winner Greg Ladanyi (Jackson Browne, Fleetwood Mac, Don Henley, Toto) and I played on it and engineered it... we just recorded a new bonus track for it.. cheers...

a tribute album "Rave On Buddy Holly", featuring The Black Keys, Jack White, Paul McCartney, Kid Rock, Lou Reed, Patti Smith, and more, will be released on June 28... it will include 19 tracks on Fantasy/ Concord records.. cheers..

well, we're off to a great start this year, March is already here.. the PLAYER album was a project that I enjoyed doing very much... all reactions to it have been very positive.. it will be available on Amazon, Itunes and on this website soon.. Dare I say that I'm already in pre production for a new project that I hope to complete by year's end.. I'll fill everyone in on it as I know more... best..

the new album will be called Player.. I wrote 10 songs on it and it will include 2 covers.. "Mercy,Mercy,Me" with Motown bassist Bob Babbitt on bass.. Bob played on the original hit with Marvin Gaye.. also, did my version of "Hot Lanta" an old Allman tune for those who like the brothers.. product by December.. thanks to all who bought the Merlot Fine cd.. got more Crickets' road gigs in Dec.. later
